I am getting ready for a special occasion.
We closed on our farmhouse on July 25th, 2009.
So that means tomorrow we celebrate 10 years in this house!
We are planning to have our parents over for dinner to help us mark the occasion.
I think 10 years in a home is significant!
We moved out here from the city because Micah wanted land... A place to make an investment. A place to hunt, fish and roam.
We picked this house because I wanted an old homestead... A place with history. A place that's embraced families with a warm sense of home for generations.
That was 10 years ago, and we've been pouring our hearts into this place ever since.
I thought it'd be a fun idea for a post to share a little glimpse of the work we've done to make this house our own.
I won't talk a lot. I think I'll just share some before and afters, and let the photos speak for themselves.
So, in honor of our anniversary, here we go...
This is our farmhouse, and the before pictures from 10 years ago.

There's more I could share, but I think I'll end it here for today.
I hope you enjoyed the before and after home tour.
We have put our blood, sweat and tears into this old farmhouse, and have enjoyed living here very much!
It's been a joy to watch our kids grow up on trails and trees and spacious land to run and play.
I hope for another good 10 years more, at least!
This afternoon I set my table for tomorrow's dinner with our parents...
I look forward to celebrating this special anniversary.
As always, thanks for reading my blog, friends.
I'll be back here to write again soon.
xo,
~ Courtney ~
